AY002 Point d'Esprit Shawl with Solid Center — Acquerello
Designer: Lois S. Young

2 skeins
Size: 48"x48"x64"triangle
Gauge: 17 sts x 28 rows = 4" (but gauge is not critical for this item)

Romantic as well as practical, this shawl is a show-stopper in the right yarn! Start by knitting a garter-stitch triangle, then cast on for the lace edge. Every other row, you pick up a stitch on the triangle, thus attaching your lace edge as you go along – painless finishing!

Suggested substitute yarns:
Contessa 4ply, Marquesa 4ply or Regina 4ply in equal amounts. Prezioso, Silk Cloud, Silk Dreams, or Soie du Jour (for an even more luxurious shawl) by knitting them double-stranded (requiring 2 skeins each)

AY007 Shallow V Lace Wrap — Prezioso (double stranded)
Designer: Lois S. Young
1 or 2 skeins double stranded; The shawl n the photo weighs just slightly less than one skein of Prezioso. If you are very, very accurate in your winding, you can make it with one skein wound into two balls. Two skeins means you can probably make two shawls, but you will definitely have no anxiety about making one!
Size: 26" x 70" rectangle (Wrap is a very shallow V.)
Gauge: 1 pattern multiple of 8 sts and 8 rows = 2 by 3 inch square when blocked

The slight V-shape to this shawl makes it lie on your neck/shoulders without bunching. It is such a romantic, lacy design. This slight detail makes it just perfect. The lace is just beautiful.

Suggested substitute yarns:
Silk Cloud or Silk Dreams (one skein of either wound into two balls will be more than enough. Acquerello, Contessa 4ply, Marquesa 4ply or Regina 4ply (You will need 2 skeins of any of these yarns.)
AY003 Rectangular Lace Scarf — Contessa 4ply
Designer: Lois S. Young

1 skein
Size: 9" x 52" (can be made up to 6" longer with the yarn in the skein)
Gauge: 1 pattern multiple of 8 sts and 8 rows = 2 by 11/2 inch s

Soft, lacy, stylish and warm — What more could you ask for? The 8-row lace repeat is written out, as well as charted, for easy to understand instructions.

Suggested substitute yarns:
Marquesa 4ply or Regina 4ply in equal amounts. Prezioso, Silk Cloud, Silk Dreams, or Soie du Jour (for an even more luxurious shawl) by knitting them double-stranded still just one skein required)
AY056 Nancy's Scarf — Regina 4ply
Designer: Cynthia Yanok

1 skein
Size: approximately 8.5" x 60" (can be made longer with the yarn on hand)
Gauge: 5 1/4 st and 7 1/2 rows = 1" in lace pattern on larger needles

Nothing like a knitted scarf to accessorize and dramatize an outfit! This gorgeous scarf is knit in an easy, 4-row repeat lace pattern. When you're done knitting, your scarf will lie flat with minimal blocking (yay!).

Suggested substitute yarns:
Acquerello, Contessa 4ply or Marquesa 4ply (with the same yarn requirements). Prezioso, Silk Cloud, Silk Dreams or Soie du Jour (for an even more luxurious scarf) knit double-stranded (still just 1 skein required).
AY067 Shimmer Scarf — Contessa DK
Designer: Cynthia Yanok

1 skein
Size: approximately 13" x 56"
Gauge: 12 sts = 4" in pattern stitch

A quick, easy stitch pattern creates a wonderfully versatile scarf. The gauge for this is flexible. If you love yarn, just decide how many stitches to cast on (multiple of 2) for the size you want.

Suggested substitute yarns:
This can be made in any Ogier Yarns DK or 4ply yarn using a single strand. You may also knit this in any lace weight yarn double-stranded. No matter which yarn you choose, the scarf will take just one skein.
AY073 Seed Stitch & Cables Pullover — Regina DK
Designer: Lorna Miser

4 (5, 6, 6) skeins
Size: 36 (42, 48, 54)
Gauge:  18 sts = 4" in stockinette st

The cables and seed stitch panels on this pullover follow the V of the neck, reaching the shoulders at the same distance from the neckline as from their beginning at the center front. This knits up into a very striking and flattering design. Our hand-painted yarn makes the pattern stand out even more!

Suggested substitute yarns:
Contessa DK or Escapade DK (with same yarn requirements)
AY085 Fern Lace Scarf — Regina 4ply
Designer: Cynthia Yanok
1 skein
Size: 13" x 60" (can be made longer with yarn on hand)
Gauge:  7 sts and 6.5 rows = 1" in Fern Lace pattern on larger needles

This is my favorite Cynthia Yanok scarf pattern! A 12-row lace pattern repeat turns any yarn into something magical. Knit with an Ogier Yarns hand-painted yarn, and you have something spectacular.

Suggested substitute yarns:
Acquerello, Contessa 4 ply and Marquesa 4 ply (with same yarn requirements). You can also choose Prezioso, Silk Cloud, Silk Dreams or Soie du Jour (for an even more luxurious scarf). Just nit double-stranded. You still only need 1 skein!
Knitters and crocheters fall in love with the color, the hand . . . even the smell of the hand-painted fibers from Ogier Yarns. These yarns are available only at retail yarn shops across the country.

AY095 Ladies First Pullover — Contessa DK
Designer: Melissa Leapman
5 (6, 7, 8, 8) skeins
Size: 35 (38, 41, 44, 47)
Gauge:  22 sts and 28 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch

Aaah, a delicately designed, feminine pullover, with long sleeves ending in wide bells at the wrist. The borders of the neckline and hem help to add a bit more intrigue.

Suggested substitute yarns:
Escapade DK and Regina DK (with same yarn requirements).
AY111 Pop the Hood! — Acquerello
Designer: Lorna Miser
3 (4, 4, 5, 5,6) skeins
Size: 35 (40, 45, 50, 55, 60)"
Gauge:  17 sts and 28 rows = 4"

This fun hoodie is made in stockinette stitch but with a different, fun technique. You use a small needle in one hand and a large needle in the other hand. This effortlessly creates a lacy, textured stitch. Beginning at one cuff, you work across the front and back yokes, then down the second sleeve. Stitches are then picked up for lower front and back sections. The hood is picked up and knit around the neck opening.

Suggested substitute yarns:
Contessa 4ply, Marquesa 4ply or Regina 4ply (with same yarn requirements).
Prezioso, Silk Cloud, Silk Dreams or Soie du Jour (for an even more luxurious sweater) knit double-stranded (Same number of skeins required, as yardage is double or more)
AY089 Classic Cabled Scarf — Contessa 4ply
Designer: Cynthia Yanok
1 skein
Size: 8.5" x 44" (can be made longer with yarn on hand)
Gauge:  24 sts and 36 rows = 4" square in cable pattern

Harking back to classic Edwardian English styles, this exquisite scarf suits both men and women. It's also reversible. (I can say this with certainty as, in the past, I've accidentally photographed it inside out, and it still looked great!)

Suggested substitute yarns:
Acquerello, Marquesa 4 ply or Regina 4ply (with same yarn requirements).
AY134 Arborea Scarf — Regina 4ply
Designer: Catherine Wingate

1 skein
Size: approximately 7 3/4" wide and 68" long
Gauge:  15-stitch motif = approximately 2 1/4" in Pattern Stitch before blocking

Here is a leafy-lace scarf inspired by the designer's day at a botanical garden after reading The Secret Life of Plants. Designed with plant-life in mind, it is not surprising that this scarf seems to grow "wild." The pattern is written for two widths (7 3/4" and 10") and one length (52"). The model seen here was made at the narrower width, and resulted in a longer scarf still using only one skein.
Clearly, this patterns offers a lot of wiggle room in terms of sizing.

Suggested substitute yarns:
Acquerello, Contessa 4ply and Marquesa 4ply (with same yarn requirements).
AY135 Seed & Flower Scarf — Prezioso
Designer: Tracy Alexander
yarn requirements: tbd
Size blocked: 7.5" x 48"
Gauge Pre-blocked:  5 1/2 sts and 7 rows = 1 inch with yarn double stranded

A serene scarf with a sight openwork pattern (flowers) interspersed with seed stitch. Double-stranding the lace weight, hand-painted yarn creates an added dimension, as the colors mix together instead of individually striping.

Suggested substitute yarns:
Silk Cloud, Silk Dreams or Soie du Jour (with same yarn requirements, double-stranding).
Acquerello, Contessa 4ply, Marquesa 4 ply or Regina 4ply may also be used in single strand.
